The essence of Srebrenica resolution text is to remove even the last suspicion that some countries or peoples are responsible for crimes. This is according to Chief of the ruling DS-led "For a European Serbia" parliamentary group Nada Kolundzija. "Resolution to remove all suspicion" She told Banja Luka-based daily Glas Srpske that adoption of the resolution could not bring any negative international or legal consequences to Serbia and the Republic of Srpska (RS). “What we have before us now, a draft that chiefs of parliamentary groups should declare themselves about, harmonize it and see if there is something else which should perhaps be added and changed, is a result of the numerous talks which were held previously,” Kolundzija said. She pointed out that it was important that the message be unambiguous, that the crime was condemned, that compassion with the victims was expressed and that the ruling of International Court of Justice regarding Bosnia-Herzegovina’s genocide lawsuit, qualifications, assessments and the verdict’s content are not debated or questioned in any way. According to her, the starting point was the fact that the parliament was not a court and that it should not deal with legal qualifications of crimes. “We wanted to remove every possibility of linking the responsibility for crimes in Srebrenica to the Serb people, Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, and in that way have a complete individualization of responsibility,” Kolundzija said.
