"Mladić and Hadžić will be tried at Hague"

Hague Tribunal President Patrick Robinson commented on the prospects of having the court's two remaining wanted persons strand trial before its judges. Robinson said that if former Bosnian Serb military leader Ratko Mladic and former Croatian Serb political leader Goran Hadzic are not arrested by the end of the court's mandate, they will still be judged by the Tribunal under the terms of the so-called "legacy mechanism". The Hague Tribunal is expected to complete its work no later than February 2014. Robinson stressed that, according to the exit strategy of the court, all trials should be completed by mid-2011, except for the proceedings against Radovan Karadzic, which should be finished by the end of 2012. All appellate proceedings should be finished by mid-2013, and the appellate proceeding in the case of Karadzic by February 2014.

The Hague Tribunal is expected to complete its work no later than February 2014.

Robinson stressed that, according to the exit strategy of the court, all trials should be completed by mid-2011, except for the proceedings against Radovan Karadžić, which should be finished by the end of 2012.

All appellate proceedings should be finished by mid-2013, and the appellate proceeding in the case of Karadžić by February 2014.
