All of the property of the Saric brothers is now in the possession of the state, including luxury villas in Sremska Kamenica, north of Belgrade. All of the property of the notorious drug trafficking group, suspected to be led by Darko Saric, was yesterday taken over by the state's Directorate for Seized property, Justice Ministry State Secretary Slobodan Homen said. The 400 square-meter home he lived in has several levels and over ten rooms. According to reports, there are also a dozen saunas, Jacuzzis and Turkish baths in the 900 square-meter villa. Along with the villa, Saric had ten other homes, villas and apartments in Belgrade, and other properties that have been seized temporarily. State institutions believe that the seized properties only make up about a tenth of Saric's total worth in Serbia alone. The known property is worth in between EUR 10-20mn, mostly in real estate. The value of the companies owned by him, or on his behalf, has yet to be confirmed. Saric is currently at large. The Montenegrin traveling on a Serbian passport is the chief suspect in the drug trafficking case, that involved attempts to smuggle over two tons of cocaine to Europe from South America.
