Turkey and Serbia are ready to work together on the establishing of stability and peace in the Balkans, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglou says. His statement came after a meeting in Ankara on Saturday with his Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremic. Jeremic meets with Turkish counterpart Jeremic, who was on a one-day visit to Turkey, was also received by Turkish President Abdullah Gul. The free trade agreement between Serbia and Turkey, which will considerably contribute to the promotion of economic cooperation, is to be ratified in the Turkish parliament next week, Davutoglou said at a joint press conference. Davutoglou also underscored that the two countries will work together on several infrastructure projects in Serbia, the Turkey's Anatolia news agency reported. Jeremic pointed out that the meeting with his Turkish counterpart was fruitful and underscored that Serbia and Turkey share a common vision regarding stability and peace in the Balkans. The two countries are working together on resolution of the problems in the region and are determined to contribute to economic prosperity of the Balkans, Jeremic said.
