Serbian PM Mirko Cvetkovic today urgently summoned German, British, French, Italian and American ambassadors stationed in Belgrade. The move came after an incident in Kosovo today when Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic was prevented from visiting the Serb enclave of Strpce. Ambassadors summoned over incident The government’s media office said in a statement issued in Belgrade this afternoon that Cvetkovic protested against this development and told the ambassadors it was unacceptable to in this way violate the human rights and freedom of movement in Kosovo. The premier also asked for the countries represented by the envoys to support a condemnation of the actions of EULEX and KFOR, and to also support securing of civilized living conditions in Kosovo and Metohija, the statement said. In Pristina, the office of the special EU representative in Kosovo said that Bogdanovic was denied the right to stay in Kosovo today because procedures were not respected. “There are accepted principles and procedures between Belgrade, EU and Pristina for official visits and in this case those procedures were not respected,” said the EU representative’s spokeswoman Julia Rueter.
