Among the invited to Washington to a gathering dubbed "the Prayer Breakfast" are Ivica Dacic, Rasim Ljajic and Vuk Draskovic. The event will be taking place on February 4, and DSS's Nenad Popovic and Vlajko Senic of and G17 Plus have also received invitations, it was annoucned. Politicians invited to "Prayer Breakfast" Ljajic, who is labor minister, told Tanjug that he will "make the trip to Washington if another meeting at the State Department is scheduled in the meantime". "I have attended the Prayer Breakfast three or four times already, and I will not travel to Washington just to attend it, because I think we need to be mindful of expenses in this time of crisis," Ljajic said. Draskovic, the leader of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) confirmed for the news agency that he received an invitation, adding he had not decided yet if he would attend. Popovic's office confirmed for Tanjug that he was also still undecided on whether to make the trip. Senic, on the other hand, confirmed he would attend. Dacic also said earlier that he received the invitation, noting that it was an "important symbolical gesture towards the Socialist Party of Serbia". The party was founded and led until his death by Slobodan Milosevic. Dacic, who is now at the helm, and is also first deputy PM and interior minister in the current government, said that his presence at the gathering would "depend on when his visit to the U.S. as interior minister, scheduled for around the same time, will take place". The Prayer Breakfast is an annual event attended by guests that include those from some 100 countries.
