Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic expects that Serbians will live "somewhat better" this year, and that it will be a year of intensified reforms. "The biggest challenges will be in the realm of the economy. All economic indicators confirm that we have exited the crisis and are moving toward increased GDP and increased foreign direct investments. Still, a quick recovery should not be expected," warned the prime minister in his interview for Beta news agency. Prime Minister: Intensified reforms in 2010 "Although I wish for the economy to grow three, and even five percent, we must be realistic," Cvetkovic said, and added he expects a mild growth, estimated at 1.5 percent of the GDP, while "real recovery will take place in 2011". The government's priorities this year, he said, will be EU integrations, fight against corruption and crime and assistance to the poor. The premier also said that 2010 "will not be a year of early parliamentary elections", and added that this topic "is not being discussed seriously". "I see no need to go to the polls because that would not solve a single important issue in the country," Cvetkovic stated. Mirko Cvetkovic (Beta)
