The voting has been scheduled for Sunday, December 13. It is organized by the Kosovo Albanian authorities in Pristina. Ex-K. Serb official urges Serbs to vote Officials Belgrade previously said that the conditions were not present for Serbs in the province to participate. The first round was ignored in the north of Kosovo, with some Serb participation recorded in the enclaves in the southern parts. Trajkovic today signed her statement as "president of the Executive Board of the Serb National Council of Kosovo [SNV]", despite the fact the SNV president, Dragan Velic, previously announced that she was expelled from the organization for her involvement in the elections. Trajkovic writes that Serbs should "minimize the damage when the first round of the elections on November 15 was boycotted". Her statement further reads that Serbs from Strpce and Novo Brdo, by boycotting the frist rounf, "gave over control over these Serb majority municipalities without a fight”. “By electing a Serb mayor, we will be given a possibility to have legal influence on the events in our communities, to contest the decisions which are jeopardizing our position and demand protection of our rights which we deserve as the people who have inhabited these parts for centuries,” wrote Trajkovic.
