Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Konuzin announced today that he will visit Kosovo and Metohija next week. The purpose of the trip will be to discuss with international community representatives the ways to improve the status of local Serbs. The ambassador made the announcement in Belgrade today after unveiling a commemorative plaque dedicated to the Russian professors who were teaching at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade between the two world wars. "People have to return to their homes, to have electricity, possibility to send their children to school, they should live safely, and criminals should be put behind bars," Konuzin pointed out, adding that "none of that has been achieved so far". The ambassador underscored that during his visit to Kosovo and Metohija he intends to learn about the political situation after, as he put it, the so-called elections organized by the interim Kosovo institutions.
