A key suspect in the murder of French football fan Brice Taton has remained on the streets over the last several years despite over 20 pending criminal charges. Two months after Taton’s death, the investigation into the 15 hooligans accused of savagely assaulting him is still ongoing. According to B92’s investigative team, Prelic is one of the leaders of the Partizan hooligan group “Alcatraz.” In the last several years, he was charged for many different crimes by the police, including violent behavior, illegal possession of weapons and explosives, obstruction of justice, illegal possession and sale of weapons and ammunition, illegal production and sale of drugs, and robbery. However, he was only convicted of one charge over the years and sentenced to six months in prison, the rest of his cases were either never started or indictments were never issued for the crimes. He is now also wanted for organized murder in the Taton case and has been on the run ever since the police investigation began in September.
