Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic says he is satisfied with is week-long visit to several African countries. Jeremic also announced that President Boris Tadic would be visiting the continent next year. Jeremic satisfied with Africa tour The minister travelled to Nigeria, Gabon and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and pointed out at the end of the tour that Serbia would continue its engagement in these countries. "We have confirmed the political support from the African countries in our fight for Kosovo at a time when they have been exposed to great pressures," Jeremic said. He announced that he would be visiting Ghana and Angola in early 2010. The foreign minister will also address a ministerial conference of the African Union in Ethiopia. Tadic's visits, according to him, "will represent Serbia's grand return to the African scene". "Our country has played an important role, through Yugoslavia, in the formation of these countries' statehoods, and they are grateful for that.
