  1. there were investigations. they found the house. by the time the team got there the scene was all 'cleaned up' but they did find traces of blood on the basement walls - conveniently, however, the owner of the house recalled slaughtering a goat or two a few years back and did not permit any more inquires...

  2. If Germans and French can coexist so can we.
    (Bilbao, 6 November 2009 10:16)

I agree, but you are preaching to the converted here. Serbs do want to share Kosovo with Albanians and they do give Albanians a very high degree of autonomy but just not the right to secede. Serbs are not the ones harrassing Albanians in Kosovo.

So do give the same speech on an Albanian site and see where it gets you.
    (Peggy, 7 November 2009 22:12)
  3. My dear Peggy,
Yellow house exists only in comic books. I can see that you still beleive in fairy tails.
    (Kosova-USA, 6 November 2009 11:03)

If that's true, then why don't you allow investigations?
What are you afraid they will find? If there is no truth to this then allowing investigations to take place is no more risky than allowing Dick to look for Easter bunny or Santa, right??
    (Peggy, 7 November 2009 22:09)
  4. Think logicaly why would Albania want good relations with Serbia!?.
    (Kosovari, 7 November 2009 00:15)

they can at least thank the serbs for giving albanians the land that their country presently occupies...
    (stari, 7 November 2009 07:28)
  5. (Af, 6 November 2009 17:55)

Which part of my earlier statement is wrong. I have corrected my omissions in the past on B92. Is it my statement that Kosovars were never in large numbers in Kosovo and that most are really refugees from Albania. Please go to a good library where they don’t stock just picture books only and read – its all there. I have living relatives who were border guards between Yugo and Albania during the late 1940s/1950 they confirm the text books.

Lets see where will Kosovars find jobs, Albania – no; Macedonia – no; Bosnia – no; Croatia – no; Montenegro; Romania – no; Bulgaria – no; Greece – no, they don’t want them; UE – not interested in taking anymore unskilled workers. I again I ask where?

Happy to debate and always correct my errors.

  6. PEGGY,No one wants good or bad relations with serbia, this is  just politics so we can drown you deeper and deeper.Think logicaly why would Albania want good relations with Serbia!?.

  7. (Hans, 6 November 2009 13:51)

Oh! Hans, that’s very harsh. Forgotten to take your medicine again? You should never judge others by your very limited capabilities! Enlighten me, when were you in that region last? Or maybe your unemployment benefits do not stretch that far?

You have read a little more and network with people that do not frequent beer halls and then you might learn something in life. Once you come to terms with this you’ll feel much better and the headaches will go away. Just because you don’t read this in your comic book does not mean these things don’t happen.

    Bye Bye for now.

  8. "The coal: Kosova has the second largest reserves in Europe afer Russia (several hunderd bn $)."

???? European countries are liquidate coal energy ;) They want to introduce more and more alternative energy or nuclear energy. So probably Kosovo want be 3rd world country ;)
    (Milan, 6 November 2009 21:27)
  9. Coal - Low quality that no one wants.

    (Niall O'Doherty, 6 November 2009 16:58)

Why La Fonatine comes to my mind??? :)
    (ben, 6 November 2009 21:21)
  10. (sj, 6 November 2009 10:17)

I don't mean disrespect but I really feel sorry for you! I hope you get better because you seem to be in your own perfect world. Reality is the best medicine for you.

    Lloyd,
You won't get an answer, people like SJ have such twisted views and so out of proportion that when you present something to them you only option is to just let them be.

I just find it amazing how regular people are suffering because of these politicians, its been going for long and it will be going.

  11. Serbia is doing worse than Albania when it comes to corruption.Albania ranking 85th,Serbia 91st.

    [link]
    (Mark, 5 November 2009 20:44)

Also, in the alphabet Serbia is way worse than Albania... You guys are right at the top, Serbia is all the way back in 19th place!
    (stari, 6 November 2009 17:26)
  12. Let me try to answer:

The coal: Kosova has the second largest reserves in Europe afer Russia (several hunderd bn $).

    Geostrategically very important.

    extra 2.5M market.

Fertile land- products of which were known and exported to the anciant Rome.

    More or less this.

Of corse they cannot admit that and portrtay themselves as romanitc knights that fight for the truth: the churches- although NO ONE EVER Vists them EVER.
    (ben, 6 November 2009 13:45)

Coal - Low quality that no one wants.

People - 2.5m workforce, a sizeable proportion are impoverished, have poor literacy levels and unemployed. Where are they going to upskill to find employment in the Western market that is already deep in recession. Not to mention rampant corruption, drug / people trafficking and poor infrastructure that needs billions to upgrade. Its a fail there.

Geostrategically very important. - so is Serbia, oops.

Fertile land- products of which were known and exported to the anciant Rome: so is Vojvodina, Denmark, Ireland, France, Italian plains, huge swathes of Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria (Dobrudja) etc. How to plan to compete with the rest of EU?

Of corse they cannot admit that and portrtay themselves as romanitc knights that fight for the truth: the churches- although NO ONE EVER Vists them EVER.

Thats because you have destroyed dozens of the holy sites, driven Serbs out of many areas and made it next to impossible for Serbs to worship in their churches by making access to them so difficult that they need a KFOR escort to go to Sunday Mass. The best protected minority in the world... How are ya?

After sifting through Ben's arguments and prsenting him with the facts, 'Kosova' cannot offer much to international commerce with the exception of the Black economy and we all know what that is. Wines and fishes, polar bears in Sar Plannina. What next? Lizard people and kryptonite.
    (Niall O'Doherty, 6 November 2009 16:58)
  13. Sj,

Come on are once again kidding us ???

Kosovars seeking jobs in Serbia ??? Since when are there jobs available in Serbia ? one third of serbs are jobless and, as we can see it, it's very likely to worsen...

And please, who the hell might Serbia guarantee ???? Serbia has been facing collapse since last year...even IMF needs 2 weeks and twice thinking before granting it the promised loans.

And you're the last person who might know what's told behind closed doors in Brussels...I don't think even Vuk know it...

So, once again get back to earth man and scrap the strange voices in your head that tell you such hilarous things...you're not Jeanne d'Arc's brother I hope....
    (Hans, 6 November 2009 13:51)

  15. I read the link very interesting But I am not brainwashed 'Milosevic was guilty we all know that
    (Bilbao, 6 November 2009 10:16)

the link mike c provided has nothing to do with milosevic and all about the nato propaganda and it is a very good article. like i said in my response to him, you need to separate the global from local players. milosevic may have been guilty, haradinaj may have been guilty as well. the point that the nato was guilty too. and yes, propaganda does exist in the west as well. freedom of speech means that you won't go to jail if you say something. it doesn't mean that everything you read is true. you can find all the relevant information in the free world, but you have to look for it. if you let the media think for you you are bound to be ignorant (and even worse you will think you are not).

serbs and albanians are lilke 2 indian tribes fighting. we know fights among indian tribes were used by whites for their own purposes. did anyone read how spaniards "liberated" all the indian tribes from the brutal aztec rule? and gosh were those aztecs brutal and uncivilised. thanks god spaniards realised that and sided with the oppressed, right?

  16. (MikeC, 5 November 2009 20:17)

plent of leftists opposed bombing of yugoslavia. but they have never supported serbian nationalism. i am familiar with the wsws, but i don't think people should use a part of their arguments for their own purposes. their (and mine) criticism of the western involvement in former yugoslavia should be completely separated from local politics in former yugoslavia. i doubt you'd be in agreement with what they have to say about serbian nationalism. though, to be fair, they won't say nice things about albanian nationalism either.
    (malcolm x, 6 November 2009 13:24)
  17. Allow yellow house investigations to take place and then we might take you seriously.
    (Peggy, 6 November 2009 04:16)

    My dear Peggy,
Yellow house exists only in comic books. I can see that you still beleive in fairy tails.
    (Kosova-USA, 6 November 2009 11:03)
  18. (Lloyd, 6 November 2009 01:29)

The vast majority of Kosovars are not indigenous to that region, but are either refugees or 1st generation descendents of refugees that escaped from Albania during the communist rule. Yes, there were Albanians in Kosovo sixty years ago, but not in these numbers.

Serbia clothed and fed these people on their land, not Albanian land, they had free electricity, factories were established in Kosovo, land rates were non-existent for Kosovars while the rest of Serbia toiled, they had privileges. In Kosovo there are Serbian churches which are hundreds of years old and other historical buildings that go back to the 8th century while there is no even a hall built by Albanians that goes beyond 50/60 years. The only Muslim infrastructure in Kosovo belongs to the Turks, not Albanians.

You also don’t understand what the EU wants from Serbia. They are demanding behind closed doors that Serbia agrees to allow Kosovars to travel to Serbia and seek employment (I’m not joking, this is true) then they want Serbia to subsidise Kosovo, just like the old days. The UE also wants Serbia to go guarantor for any loans so if the Kosovars can’t pay the Serbs step in. It’s costing the EU anywhere between 300 and 350 million per year.

They will be left in limbo for that very reason and never released. This is worse than death. No jobs, no prospect of jobs, nothing.
    (sj, 6 November 2009 10:17)
  19. Mike C,

I must say both Albanians and Serbs here say some hateful things its a forum and its good that we get the chance to share our views.

Serbs can see more of Albanian side and Albanian Serbian side its ok.

But we like it or not we have to coexist in this place together, so please lets talk more and try to have understanding we are not going to decide the outcome of anything just sharing opinions.

I read the link very interesting But I am not brainwashed 'Milosevic was guilty we all know that, so is Karadic and Mladic... But I must say so is Harajdinaj for sure he did some crule things to Serbs and Albanians.

But we must not focus on only this you did it so my wrong was ok like this we will only go in circles.

If Germans and French can coexist so can we.
    (Bilbao, 6 November 2009 10:16)
  20. Zoran, Albania does not have any issues with her neighbours.
Can i say the same thing for Serbia? I would love to but i simply can't.
Your beloved country has issues with almost all the balkan states. shall i mention them?
Croatia,Bosnia,Montenegro (for recognising Kosovo),FYROM (for recognising Kosovo) and Albania.
    (Whatever you say, 6 November 2009 10:09)
  21. If you want good relations with Serbia how about you show your good intentions first?

Allow yellow house investigations to take place and then we might take you seriously.
    (Peggy, 6 November 2009 04:16)
  22. I am strugling to understand how human being cannot come to an agreement in the 21 century. How hard can it be to just basically agree on Kosovo? ughh i feel so angry that 2.5 million people are left in limbo and their fate is upon stupid politicans who only care about their pockets. Can someone with intellectual background answere my question about' What do the Serbs want from Kosovo?
    (Lloyd, 6 November 2009 01:29)
  23. Look, it's pretty simple. Before joining the EU (which will never happen) Albania needs to have good relations with all of its neighbours, including Serbia. So this is just to make sure it's on the never ending path to the EU.
    (Zoran, 5 November 2009 21:48)
  24. HAwk
I thought Serbia was fighting the drug dealers, Are they Albanian Too?[link]
    (albiqete, 5 November 2009 21:44)
  25. Ptoleme, 5 November 2009 18:20)
you mean-all of those refugees, who after coming back realized that there is no social security check from Serbia waiting any longer.!
And don`t you wish that story of "yellow house" is dead.
Your president tried killing it,but it did not work..
    (lids, 5 November 2009 21:32)
  26. Funny since Albania can't even spell the word democracy!
    "The rule of law"
You even have laws in Albania? One of the most corrupt societies in the world talking about the rule of law. It's like George W. Bush joining the Red Cross or albanians being good at sports. It just wont happen.

  27. Bilbao

I don't have anything against Albanians. However, I have a lot against some of the ones that come on this forum and critisize Serbia for everything, even the death of Cleopatra and the extinction of the dinosaurs are blamed on Serbs.

I believe you to have been brainwashed to believe that just because Serbs are sent to the Hague they are guilty. America is the most powerful nation on the planet and they will get their way even if its not anywhere close to the truth.
I suggest your read the article below.

"“NATO is today the greatest threat to world peace."

“NATO is killing civilians in Yugoslavia at a faster rate than the Milosevic was doing in Kosovo.”

"...a US-backed genocide was carried out against the Krajina Serbs."
    [link]
    (MikeC, 5 November 2009 20:17)
  28. As I already said once:

Unfortunately, this is just one of the smallest reasons Serbia could not afford "bolstering of ties" with Albania:

"EUROPOL: Albanians play key drug trafficking role"

    Link: [link]

Serbia is not interested in becoming a hub for Albanian drug smugglers and human traffickers.
    (Hawk, 5 November 2009 20:01)
  29. To Svojagazda:
    Are you sure about that?

and of course he needs better relationship with the country that is becoming the major financial in Balkans once again..

Can u please enlighten us on this Do you have special way for applying for loans automated one.

Loan from Russia Loan from IMF and if u think u will make any money from the pipe line just as much as Ukrain has turned to Financial Center
    (BBK, 5 November 2009 18:54)
  31. MikeC

Albania is already good at sports our players play all over Europe but must admit not as good as Serbia.

But when did sports become measure of democracy.

Did Albania attach its neighbors NO. did they send people to Holland for war crimes no.

What do you have against Albania so much they are no more corrupt then Serbia I been there have u been to Albania?
    (Bilbao, 5 November 2009 18:38)
  32. "lids", isn't it ironic how your so-called ethnic-Albanian Serbian citizens were sheltered and fed by Albania all thanks to Serbia's doing? And now you're here reminding us of a yellow house. Well, what about it? Interesting how all that chatter a few months back has succumbed to silence. Perhaps the propaganda machine can only go so far.
    (Ptoleme, 5 November 2009 18:20)
  33. "Yellow house" anyone,
and of course he needs better relationship with the country that is becoming the major financial in Balkans once again..
At least now thanks to their decisions we don`t have to feed his refugees.
    (lids, 5 November 2009 17:41)
  34. "svojgazda", I'm sorry but you're way off. I encourage you to look into it further though.
    (Ptoleme, 5 November 2009 17:27)
  35. "He stated that Albania was "ready to support Kosovo in the process of consolidating of democracy, institutions and rule of the law".

Funny since Albania can't even spell the word democracy!
    "The rule of law"

    (MikeC, 5 November 2009 17:11)
  36. From what I understand, Albanians in Albania do not really like Kosovo Albanians. They view them as true Albanians, but emigrants. Albania does favor an independent A_Kosovo, because of the backing it receives from the US and the EU. Everyone is scratching one another's back so nicely in the Balkans.
    (svojgazda, 5 November 2009 17:00)
  37. Bravo president Topi, well spoken and to the point, let's see how good a job the commentators do in spinning and derailing your progresive message of peace and European values.
    (Dibrani, 5 November 2009 16:22)
  38. He then added that he did not believe Belgrade and Tirana "could bring closer their positions on Kosovo" but that this "does not mean they could not cooperate".

    ----
Exactly, we can cooperate on Sandzak Presevo Valley, making sure that Serbia respects the Kumanova Agreement etc. Peace
