Slovenian and Croatian PMs Borut Pahor and Jadranka Kosor signed an agreement for allowing their border dispute to be solved through international arbitration.
The agreement as signed in Stockholm, Sweden, under the auspices of the European Union, with Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt signing on behalf of Brussels – since Sweden is currently presiding over the union.
The agreement calls for the implementation of an international arbitration court that will decide the borders on sea and land that tie Slovenia to the open sea and allow it use of the relevant sea region.
For determining the borders, the arbitration court "will abide by international law", it was announced. |
