  1. Lenard,

I don’t know where you get your information from about Croatia’s tourism but its still 20% less than 2008 and last year was bad. What business ventures are they? You guys are selling the last of batch of government-owned land to fill the gaping hole in Croatia’s budget, you have sold your ship building facilities, Podravka is bankrupt, so there is only Kras left. Is Mesic proposing that Serbia and Croatia open a biscuit factory on the North Pole to cater for the Eskimos?

  2. Lenerd,

Tourism up from Serbia? Hmmm? Yes, you are right. There are hundreds of thousands of former Croatian citizens, who were expelled by Croatia in '95(still living in Serbia); they all go visit still existing family members, attempt to do paperwork and visit old homes. So, you are correct Lenerd, tourism is up...

  3. Its O.K. Serbs are helping Croatia in other ways Dragan and MikeC you two great supporters of Croatia who needs enemy's. Tourism from Serbia way up. It has never been better to Croatia it even helped Croatia have a +1% gain over last year which was then the best year. While other tourist detestations countries seen massive drops anywhere from -8% to -25% or more drop in tourist. Serbian President Boris Tadić is even asking our Croatian President if we could do joint business ventures around the world together at their the last meeting.

  4. This is great news for Belgrade, as improvements in infrastructure and transportation are going ahead full steam ahead. Lets similar new budgets can also be allocated for other notable cities as well ie. Novi Sad, Pancevo, Sabac, Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Nis, Vranje etc.,
Further, awarding the tender to the Spanish company was a wise move; not only for quality and safety, but equally important for ethical and moral reasons.

  6. Good thing we didn't buy anything from Croatia! Let them sell to the Albanians.

  7. 'He said that CAF’s offer was selected by an expert commission, even though Croatian Končar had a cheaper offer. Đilas said that it was determined that the Spanish product was of a higher quality.'

I'm very glad that this order was awarded to Spain, a friendly country that does not recognize a fake state on Serbian soil. Serbia should not even consider giving such orders to Croatian companies.

Serbia should do more business with her friends, and shut out countries that are trying to give sovereign Serbian land to others. Money talks.

Where does the line get drawn? The passing of Patriarch Pavle, for whom all the respect paid to his memory was and is well deserved, allowed for some rather questionable decisions on the side of the government ...
