The arrest of Hague indictee Ratko Mladic would be genuine proof of Serbia's full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, says Dutch Ambassador Ron Van Dartel. “We have made it very clear that we want Serbia’s full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, and the arrest of Ratko Mladic would be serious and genuine proof of that cooperation,” Van Dartel said. Ambassador: No change in Dutch position “This has always been and will continue to be our position,” Van Dartel underlined during a break at a conference entitled “International Human Rights and Security Forces”. in Belgrade The conference was organized by the Dutch Embassy and the International and Security Affairs Center. Asked when the Dutch and Serbian foreign ministers, Maxim Verhagen and Vuk Jeremic, would be meeting, the ambassador said that “a way is being sought to make that meeting happen in the future,” without going into further details. “Minister Verhagen’s visit in the summer was postponed as we believed we needed more preparation time for the meeting to happen in the right manner. We’ve since remained in contact with the Serbian government and a way is being sought to make that meeting happen in the future, but I can’t say exactly when that will be,” said Van Dartel.
