Liberal Democratic Party leader Cedomir Jovanovic says that the government can count on the LDP’s support on issues of European integration and reform. He told B92 that the government’s economic policies were not sufficiently targeted, and that it must abandon the policy whereby everyone but the state paid the price of change. LDP: Support for European policies “We were picky when we were talking about government coalitions and we could not support that originally. But, we very clearly said that we would support anything we believed to be useful for our society and that is what we have done several times,” Jovanovic stressed. “There is no doubt that we are ready to cooperate not only with the Democratic Party (DS), but with everyone who wants to stabilize European policies here, speed up European integration, and offer a clear and practical solution for the economic problems that are a result not just of the world economic crisis, but of the fact that reforms are being implemented half-heartedly or not at all,” he said.
