President Boris Tadic was today in Pale, near Sarajevo, where he attended the opening of the “Srbija” (Serbia) primary school. The school was built as a joint project between the Serbian and the Republic of Srpska, RS, governments. Tadic attends school opening in RS The ceremony was also attended by senior Bosnian Serb entity officials, including President Rajko Kuzmanovic, Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, Speaker Igor Radojicic, and also Serb representatives in the Bosnia-Herzegovina state institutions, Nebojsa Radmanovic and Nikola Spiric. Dodik said at the ceremony that it is the school is the best example of good work and cooperation with the government of Serbia. "The RS government has set aside more than KM 60mn for infrastructure projects in the Pale municipality," he said. Kuzmanovic thanked both governments for securing the funds to build the new school, adding that it is the best proof that the government will in the future work to achieve equal development of all parts of the RS. Tadic told those gathered at the ceremony that Serbia has responsibility wherever Serb people live, and that for this reason, he was "very pleased that Serbia took part in the school's construction". He also expressed his satisfaction for being in Pale. Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Metropolitan Nikolaj consecrated the school after the ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by senior Bosnian Serb entity officials, including President Rajko Kuzmanović, Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, Speaker Igor Radojičić, and also Serb representatives in the Bosnia-Herzegovina state institutions, Nebojša Radmanović and Nikola Špirić.

Dodik said at the ceremony that it is the school is the best example of good work and cooperation with the government of Serbia.

"The RS government has set aside more than KM 60mn for infrastructure projects in the Pale municipality," he said.

Kuzmanović thanked both governments for securing the funds to build the new school, adding that it is the best proof that the government will in the future work to achieve equal development of all parts of the RS.

Tadić told those gathered at the ceremony that Serbia has responsibility wherever Serb people live, and that for this reason, he was "very pleased that Serbia took part in the school's construction".

He also expressed his satisfaction for being in Pale.

Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Metropolitan Nikolaj consecrated the school after the ceremony.

The RS government allocated around EUR 2mn for the construction of the school, while the Serbian government will earmark funds for the construction of the school gym.
