Albanians from the Kosovska Mitrovica suburb of Brdjani, escorted by a large contingent of EULEX and KPS officers, have resumed rebuilding work on their homes. Serb representatives from Brdjani say they will hold a rally on Sumadija Square in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Monday in protest at the difficult situation in the ethnically-mixed suburb, where Albanians have begun rebuilding their homes in breach of a reciprocal agreement on reconstruction work. Albanians resume building work in Brdjani EULEX police today formed a cordon at the start of the road leading to the site where the building work is going on. The area is also off limits to journalists without authorization or a police escort. Small groups of Serbs have been protesting throughout the day. One Serb representative, Nebojsa Minic, reiterated that what was going on was no way to resolve the problem of returnees to Kosovo.
