All buyers failed to show up at the meeting, while it was attended by Serbian government officials, but not by Agriculture Minister Sasa Dragin. Raspberry farmers in fruitless meeting Farmers who grow raspberries in Serbia's west last week protested in front of the government headquarters in Belgrade. President of the Vilamet Association of Berry Producers of Arilje Dragisa Terzic told the press that the farmers continue to insist on bulk price of RSD 160 for one kilogram, while buyers are offering RSD 115. Currently, that figure is RSD 105 for one kilogram of the fruit. But there was agreement for the sides to meet again on September 4 in Uzice. That meeting is to be attended by the representatives of the Union of Owners of Cold Storage Facilities, whom the raspberry farmers blame the most for holding a monopoly position in the market, Terzic noted. He spoke to B92 later and said he was feeling better.
