Queeria calls out campaign against pride parade

The Queeria organization for the protection of gay and lesbian rights has warned of a campaign being led in the media and public to discredit the pride parade. Queeria states that “virtual gay associations” are being formed, which are trying to manipulate the media and turn attention to the anti-gay action. Queeria calls out campaign against pride parade The organization also said that right-wing and fascist organizations are manipulating with media actions in an effort to decrease support for the parade and to recruit citizens against the event. “We expect that in the coming days, the fake associations of pedophiles, zoophiles, necrophiles, who are openly supporting the pride parade will say something and announce their participation,” the statement adds. Queeria reminds that fake announcements have been sent to the media in the pride parade organizational committee’s name, one which stated that the organization filed charges against the 1389 Movement. The statement adds that the anti-gay graffiti and the messages written on billboards in Belgrade show that homophobia is not only a problem of the homosexual community, but of the entire society.
