The Slovak ehtnic minority in Serbia will celebrate its national holiday in Backi Petrovac from August 7 to 9. The Vojvodina executive council announced that the 48th annual Slovak cultural and sports festival will be attended, among others, by Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister Dusan Caplovic, Serbian Minister for Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic and provincial officials. The festival is organized by the Slovak minority national council, Backi Petrovac Municipality and state and Vojvodina authorities with financial assistance from Slovakian organizations.
