The marking of the 14th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide started today with an event dubbed the Peace March, which gathered several thousand people. Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) refugees and numerous visitors from abroad started out from Nezuk near Sapna, and will arrive at the Potocari memorial site near Srebrenica on Friday. Srebrenica genocide marked On July 11, 529 identified remains of the victims of the massacre committed against the local Bosniaks will be laid to rest. More than 8,000 Bosniaks were killed in the summer of 1995. The Bosnian Serb forces were led by Ratko Mladic, who is wanted on a war crimes indictment.
