Greek FM maintains support for Serbia

Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis says that her country will continue to support Serbia in its European integration. Asked whether Holland could be expected to change its stance and that the EU would begin implementing the Stabilization and Association Agreement with Serbia in June, Bakoyannis told a press conference in Athens that she could not say for sure, but hoped that it would be so. Meeting with the newly-accredited Serbian Ambassador to Romania Zoran Popovic, Basescu said that Romania understood the importance of implementing European standards in relation to minority rights, so that the Romanian minority in Serbia could enjoy the same rights as the Serb minority in Romania.
