A member of Presevo's municipal assembly from the ethnic Albanian Party for Democratic Action was killed last night. Asuf Izizi died in the front yard of his house at around 22:30 CET on Friday, when an unknown assailant open fire at him. Albanian councilor killed in Presevo Spokeswoman for the District Court in Vranje Vesna Stevanovic said that the motive behind the murder is currently unknown, and that police have mounted an "intensive" search operation to arrest the killers. Reports mention that beside his political engagement, Azizi also owned a gas station on Corridor 10, near Presevo, in southern Serbia.
