DPA forms new Preševo administration
Ramgi Mustafa’s Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) has formed a coalition in Preševo with the Democratic Union of the Valley (DUD) and the Ramiz Zulfiu Group.

Ramgi Mustafa’s Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) has formed a coalition in Presevo with the Democratic Union of the Valley (DUD) and the Ramiz Zulfiu Group. DUD leader Skender Destani said that he expects the new local assembly administration to be elected in the coming week, and according to the signed coalition agreement, Mustafa will be the new municipal president, while Destani will be the assembly speaker. DPA forms new Presevo administration Mustafa was earlier the local assembly speaker and the municipal president as well. The Presevo assembly has 38 councilors, and the new coalition has a majority of 23 seats. DPA left a coalition with Riza Halimi’s Party of Democratic Action (PDD) in mid-April, when Halimi signed an agreement for redefining the South Serbia Coordination Center, despite the fact that Mustafa was against the move. Along with the PDD, the Serb coalition of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and the Serb Radical Party (SRS) will be making up the opposition in Presevo. The area of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja municipalities in the south of the country is home to the largest ethnic Albanian population in Serbia outside of Kosovo.
