“Former Montenegrin ambassador might return”

Former Montenegrin ambassador to Serbia Anka Vojvodic could be reappointed to the position pending Belgrade’s approval, daily Danas writes. The Serbian government declared the former ambassador a persona non grata in October after the Montenegrin government recognized Kosovo’s unilateral independence. “Former Montenegrin ambassador might return” Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic said last week that Podgorica would be proposing a new ambassador to Belgrade after a conversation with Serbian President Boris Tadic. Danas writes that there is speculation in Podgorica that Vojvodic could resume her mandate provided Belgrade gives the green light. In early April, Podgorica media stated that Montenegrin Health Minister Miodrag Radunovic was one of the leading contenders to become the new ambassador to Serbia, but Danas states that he has since rejected the offer. Agriculture Minister Milutin Simovic was also said to be in the running. According to Danas, another potential candidate for the post is Dusko Markovic, the director of the National Security Agency.

Danas writes that there is speculation in Podgorica that Vojvodić could resume her mandate provided Belgrade gives the green light.

In early April, Podgorica media stated that Montenegrin Health Minister Miodrag Radunović was one of the leading contenders to become the new ambassador to Serbia, but Danas states that he has since rejected the offer.

Agriculture Minister Milutin Simović was also said to be in the running.

According to Danas, another potential candidate for the post is Duško Marković, the director of the National Security Agency.
