Rasim Ljajic has said that he expects Belgrade to complete its cooperation with the Hague Tribunal by the end of 2009. This would include handing over the two remaining indictees – Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic, the president of Serbia's National Council for Hague Cooperation was quoted as saying. "Hague cooperation to complete by end of year" "I expect this to be completed by the end of the year ... I cannot believe that so much effort, work and engagement by services will not finally result in locating Mladic and Hadzic and extraditing them to the Hague," Ljajic told Radio Free Europe. "This issue is not only an obstacle for Serbia on its path of European integrations, but it also complicates our internal political life, it radicalizes it additionally, and it is a constant topic of debate which divides the people of Serbia. It is in our interest that it is finalized," said Ljajic, who is also Serbia's labor and social policy minister. He stated that foreign intelligence services are not taking part in the search for the Hague indictees in Serbia, but that "all forms of cooperation with them in this sphere are useful and welcome".
