The Interior Ministry will seek to raise the overall level of national security, says Ivica Dacic, adding that no-one should be allowed to feel above the law. Speaking at a MUP function, the interior minister said that the police would endeavor to prevent any repeat of assassinations of prime ministers or the torching of foreign embassies in Serbia ever again. Dacic: Nobody is above law “In conditions of a general clampdown on crime and corruption, the state is willing to confront every risk and threat emanating from organized crime and terrorism,“ Dacic stressed. The minister underlined that no kind of threats could stop the war on crime and terrorism, and that no-one would be spared in that confrontation, “nor will anyone receive any kind of privileges on political, ethnic or religious grounds.“ He said that crime knew no borders, adding that it was the duty of state authorities to coordinate efficiently with the security services and the judiciary to tackle this.
