Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic met with the members of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) on Tuesday. This comes ahead of his trip to the UNESCO headquarters next week, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Jeremic meets with SPC Holy Synod Jeremic, according to the statement, will also take part in other international forums that will be held on the occasion of the marking of five years since the March pogrom in Kosovo, when 35 Serb Orthodox holy sites were destroyed. In the talks with the Holy Synod, it was confirmed that the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian government continued to be strongly committed to the rebuilding of the monasteries and churches destroyed in Kosovo, "all in keeping with the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 1244", the statement said.
