Leader of the opposition Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj could be working as an envoy in solving the conflict in Uganda. His party stated that he is waiting for both sides, the Uganda government and the Allied Democratic Forces of Uganda, to give their opinions on the matter. Haradinaj looks at "peace mediator" role? Haradinaj’s party states that he is prepared to work as an envoy in the peace talks in that African country. The party stated that its leader would give details regarding the matter when the right time comes. AFP stated that officials of the Uganda government and the guerrilla movement have agreed to have the envoy for helping to solve the armed conflict be Haradinaj, the former Kosovo Albanian prime minister. Haradinaj was also one of the leaders of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). He faced a war crimes trial at the Hague Tribunal, but the court last year acquitted him of all charges, which included murder, torture, rape and kidnapping.
