United Serbia (JS) leader Dragan Markovic says that his party will not support the adoption of the Vojvodina Statute by the state parliament. He told Novi Sad daily Dnevnik that he objected to discussing Vojvodina’s autonomy “at a time when Serbia is fighting to preserve Kosovo.” JS: No to Vojvodina statute United Serbia supports economic decentralization of Serbia, but Vojvodina has already been taken care of in that regard, because the Constitution guarantees it seven percent of the state budget, he said.
