Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci has called on Belgrade to "recognize Kosovo and establish normal diplomatic relations". "In its relations with Kosovo today's Belgrade has not changed anything from Milosevic," he also told Reuters. Thaci once again talks "genocide" On Feb. 17 2008 Kosovo's Albanians unilaterally declared independence. Serbia rejected the proclamation as illegal. "Serbia, by attempting to harm the integrity of Kosovo, definitely is following Milosevic's mentality," said the former leader of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). "Serbia cannot follow two parallels, trying to be a pro-Western country and threatening the sovereignty of another country," Reuters quoted Thaci as saying. "Serbia's face in Kosovo is genocide. Serbia came here a century ago by violence, remained here violently, and left Kosovo by committing genocide," he said.
