Humanitarian Law Center Natasa Kandic has been found guilty of slander against Serb Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic. The Belgrade Fourth District Court ordered Kandic to pay damages of just over EUR 2,000. HLC boss ordered to pay Nikolic EUR 2,000 in damages She was found guilty of making untruthful claims on a B92 program in 2006 that Nikolic had taken part in war crimes against civilians in the village of Antin in 1991. She has a fortnight to decide whether to appeal the verdict. The court directed Nikolic to launch a civil action should he wish to exercise his claim to EUR 10,000 in damages for bringing his name into disrepute.
