EULEX registering goods at checkpoints

EULEX representatives said they would register commercial goods arriving to Kosovo at checkpoints Jarinje and Brnjak as of midnight. Kosovo police, KPS, administrative line supervisor in the north Ergin Medic told Tanjug that registration of commercial goods does not mean that they are liable to custom duty and that importers will not pay duty at the two checkpoints. "I think that at this time there are huge tensions here in Kosovo, it is unnecessary to introduce such things at a moment like this. We are aware that it must start in some way, but with previous agreement with official Belgrade," he said.
