This year the Ministry for Kosovo will continue its diplomatic and legal battle for Kosovo, Minister Goran Bogdanovic says. This battle, he told reporters in a news conference in Belgrade on Wednesday, will be waged "in international institutions" and through "the economic strengthening of Serb and other non-Albanian communities". "Diplomatic, legal battle for Kosovo continues" "The priority will be the economic strengthening of the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija, primarily through the revival of economy and through employment, as well as creating conditions for the sustainable return and life of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Serbia's southern province," Bogdanovic stated. He told reporters that close to RSD 4bn has been earmarked for his ministry in 2009, a sum which is almost one-third down on last year. "Despite that, we will realize our goals and will not give up the further financing of the return of the Serbs, and helping the most vulnerable families of the kidnapped and displaced," he set out.
