Radovan Karadzic says that the Hague Tribunal should sanction publication of all facts regarding his supposed deal with U.S. diplomat Richard Holbrooke. Karadzic called for information on the agreement between him and Holbrooke to be released, but not information on the alleged deal between Holbrooke and the Tribunal, under which Karadzic would not be arrested if he withdrew from political and public life. Karadzic wants Holbrooke deal made public He said that refusal by the Tribunal to make that information public would show that they do not want the truth about the agreement to be made public. He added that he could only have a fair trial if all the facts were published. The former Bosnian Serb political leader claims that if proof of his deal with Holbrooke and the diplomat’s agreement with the Tribunal were made public, there would be no reason to go to trial. Karadzic is accused of genocide, murder, persecution, deportation, inhumane acts, kidnapping and other crimes committed against Muslims, Croats and other non-Serbs in Bosnia during the 1992-1995 war. He was arrested in Belgrade on July 21 after 12 years of hiding under a false identity, and was extradited to the Hague Tribunal on July 30.
