The EU presidency will state its opinion on the recent incidents in northern Kosovo after it receives investigation results. This is according to Janina Hrebickova, whom the Czech government appointed as its ambassador to Pristina. The Czech Republic currently holds the rotating EU presidency. "EU on KM incidents after probe" Hrebickova was also quoted as saying that the EU "cannot rely on positions of some countries and governments". "It is a job for KFOR, EULEX and Kosovo police to conduct an investigation, and we have no right to say anything without the results of that investigation, since that would be speculation." "Each country and each government have their own view of those events. The EU presidency is working with other members inside and outside the EU on what position to take," she said, according to Albanian language daily Koha Ditore. Hrebickova also said that the EU did not receive a letter which Serbian President Boris Tadic's cabinet said was sent. She stated that the EU presidency is carefully and constantly monitoring EULEX's engagement in Kosovo, and that it will "support the process of EU stabilization and association of Kosovo".
