NATO foreign ministers have offered to expand cooperation between the Alliance and Serbia by drawing up a Partnership for Peace action plan. NATO foreign ministers have stated that they support Serbia’s Euro-Atlantic integration, “in the light of the new government’s commitment to Euro-Atlantic values and partnership.” NATO seeks closer ties with Serbia The statement at the end of the two-day summit of NATO foreign ministers points out that the “recent signing of the agreement between NATO and Serbia on the security of information exchange constitutes an important step in that direction.” "We are ready to further the development of our partnership, especially through the creation of an individual action partnership plan in accordance with the Partnership for Peace,” the statement reads. They praised Serbia for arresting and extraditing Radovan Karadzic and called on the Serbian government to continue cooperation and to arrest the remaining fugitives, “especially Ratko Mladic.” NATO foreign ministers said that they still expected Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to “fully cooperate with the Hague Tribunal,” and that they would continue to monitor their efforts closely.
