A minister in the Kosovo government says accepting the six-point reconfiguration plan would mean "violating the constitution". Transport Minister and Vice-President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Fatmir Limaj also told Albanian language Kohavision television outlet that the government must reexamine the purpose of its staying in power should it accept the plan. "Govt. should resign over six-point plan" UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon tabled the so-called six-point plan, a proposal to reconfigure UNMIK and allow EULEX to deploy. The plan has been accepted by official Belgrade, but the Kosovo Albanian leadership earlier rejected it. A UN Security Council session is expected mid-next week to discuss this issue. "A government that tramples on its sovereignty is not a government that represents the people of Kosovo," Limaj said. However, Self-Determination movement leader Albin Kurti believes that bringing down the government is not a solution to the situation Kosovo is facing. He called on the Kosovo institutions to, in case the plan is imposed, "every day in the field obstruct the implementation of the six points". Kurti specified that this task should be entrusted to the Kosovo police. He also announced a series of demonstrations in Pristina and other towns in Kosovo.
