Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu does not expect the U.S. to change its course over Kosovo after Barack Obama’s victory at the U.S. presidential election. "I hail this great historic process in the U.S. I have a profound respect for the U.S.’s role in Kosovo,” Sejdiu said, upon returning from a visit to Albania, adding that Kosovo had always been an important issue for the U.S. administration, which had “helped the freedom of the people of Kosovo.” Sejdiu: No change in U.S. Kosovo policy "The Democrats have already been in power and they supported Kosovo,” Sejdiu said, recalling the NATO intervention in Kosovo in 1999, adding that the U.S. policy towards Kosovo was consistent, regardless of who occupied the Oval Office.
