Čačak police have identified and questioned three suspects who attempted to set fire to a Turkish flag in the city center on Tuesday night.

Cacak police have identified and questioned three suspects who attempted to set fire to a Turkish flag in the city center on Tuesday night. Police questioned Darko M. from Pozega, and Milos M. and Vladan M. from Lajkovac, and they will be charged with inciting ethnic, racial and religious hate and intolerance, said the police in a statement. Albanian, Turkish flags burned in Cacak The Turkish flag was flying in the central square alongside those of Ukraine, Japan and other Balkan countries, including those of the former Yugoslav republics, and the Albanian flag that had already been set fire to earlier in the evening by unknown culprits. The flags were flying as part of an exhibition entitled “Library—An Open Book of the Balkans“. The police state that an intensive searching is under way for the individuals that set fire to the Albanian flag.
