"Our position is clear," the ambassador said. Holland steadfast in SAA refusal "We believe that there should be full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal and we won’t change our position until Ratko Mladic’s extradition to the Tribunal,” Ambassador Ron Van Dartel told journalists at the Sava Center in Belgrade on Monday. Reiterating the Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen’s statement, he said that Holland will be "the first country to ratify the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA), after Serbia fulfills her obligations". "That was our position several years ago, today, and will remain such in the future,” Van Dartel said. The ambassador added said that his country is supporting Serbia's EU integration process and strengthening of the rule of law with a series of projects. "I am an optimist when it comes to the political situation in the country and the promises of the top Serbian authorities. Therefore I hope that a new phase in our relations will begin as soon as possible,” Van Dartel said.
