Pristina daily Zeri writes that UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon has sent a letter to EU Foreign and Security Policies Chief Javier Solana regarding EULEX. According to the daily, the letter states that EULEX can be deployed in Kosovo only if the status of the mission is neutral. “EULEX must be neutral” “EULEX can be stationed in Kosovo only if it remains neutral on Kosovo’s status. In other words, that would be an imperative if EULEX was interested in beginning to function in Kosovo,” states the letter that the daily has a copy of.
