War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic says that criminal proceedings will be launched against seven people suspected of aiding and abetting Stojan Zupljanin. Prosecution spokesman Bruno Vekaric said that Deputy Prosecutor Dragoljub Stankovic was currently in the Republic of Srpska and was working with Interior Ministry officials to clarify the circumstances under which the Hague fugitive received a fake identity. Police finished questioning the seven suspects on October 10, the same day the prosecution sent a motion to the Hague Tribunal calling on the court to prevent Zupljanin from contacting any of his suspected accomplices. According to evidence obtained by the prosecution, Zupljanin called five of the seven suspects, one of whom he called in the presence of the deputy war crimes prosecutor. During the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Zupljanin was head of the Central Security Service in Banja Luka, the top police official in Bosnian Krajina, and represented the police in the Autonomous Region of Krajina Headquarters. According to the indictment, the Autonomous Region of Krajina Headquarters carried out a general plan of control and ethnic cleansing on the territory of Banja Luka, Bosanska Krupa, Bosanski Novi, Bosanski Petrovac, Celinac, Donji Vakuf, Kljuc, Kotor Varos, Prijedor, Prnjavor, Sanski Most, Sipovo and Teslic.

Župljanin was arrested on June 11 in Pančevo, where he was hiding under the name of Branislav Vukadin.
