Cvetković "expects Estonia's backing"

Premier Mirko Cvetkovic on Monday told Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet that he expects support for Serbia's ICJ initiative. Cvetkovic stated that he also expects Estonia's backing for Serbia's further accession to the European Union, since Serbia has clearly demonstrated its commitment to integrations and respect of international law, the government said in a statement issued after the meeting in Belgrade. Paet added he believed that Serbia will become a EU candidate next year, and that his country supports the liberalization of the visa regime and the placing of Serbia on the White Schengen list. Cvetkovic and Paet also urged continued economic cooperation and announced a speedy signing of an agreement on avoidance of double taxing between Serbia and Estonia.
