Vandals have demolished the offices of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), the Social-Democratic Union and the Youth Club NGO in Novi Sad.

Vandals have demolished the offices of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), the Social-Democratic Union and the Youth Club NGO in Novi Sad. The LDP stated today that the culprits had broken into the building and smashed the windows and equipment inside. Vandals trash LDP offices in Novi Sad The police have carried out an inquest, and it is presumed that the break-in took place overnight. The premises are in the very center of town, in a building housing a number of NGOs and political parties. The LDP’s offices in Novi Sad have been targeted by vandals on a number of prior occasions. LDP MP Slobodan Maras said that he assumed that the party had been targeted again because of its initiative to ban the neo-Nazi march in Belgrade on October 11, and because of the LDP’s rally tomorrow, entitled “We Won’t Surrender October 5“. “It’s all a consequence of the policy pursued by the current government, which, for weeks, has tolerated gatherings by those who support Hague fugitives. This government tolerates the violence of extreme Right-wingers and this is a consequence of that policy,“ he said.
