Đelić: Both Kosovo and EU

Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic presented in Kosovska Mitrovica on Friday the National Plan for Serbia's integration into the European Union. He told his audience in the northern Kosovo town that “Serbia's state policy, which includes both Kosovo and Europe, is already being realized”. Djelic: Both Kosovo and EU Djelic pointed out that Kosovo and Europe were not two opposite goals, adding that the strengthening of our identity as a serious European country contributed to the defense of the province. “The fight for admission into the EU is the best way for us to strengthen our state, our economy, to finance numerous projects in KiM, and in doing that to defend all our interests and to fight for our Kosovo and Metohija,” Djelic underlined. During his Friday visit to Kosovska Mitrovica, the deputy prime minister met with businessmen from all parts of Kosovo to discuss “concrete projects”, Tanjug reported. Djelic was also heard saying that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo’s independence and will not accept blackmail for the sake of EU integrations. “Although not a small number of states have recognized Kosovo, there are still big countries that are our friends, and that have not and will not do that,” he said.
