The government today removed its draft resolution on continuity of the Kosovo policy from parliamentary procedure. This was announced by Ministerfor Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic. Govt. withdraws draft Kosovo resolution The government decided to withdraw the draft due to a lack of political unity on that document, he said before the parliament committee for Kosovo-Metohija was due to convene Monday afternoon. The session was not held due to absence of quorum. Kosovo should be an issue of unity, not disunity, Bogdanovic said, noting that the government had wanted a minimum of agreement on the document. He also regretted the absence of quorum and "the abuse of the Kosovo issue for partisan interests". Three draft resolutions on Kosovo were submitted to parliament – one by the government, another by 108 MPs of the Serb Radical Party, Democratic Party of Serbia and New Serbia, while the third came from the Liberal Democratic Party. The government draft was due to be debated as the last issue on the agenda of the current extraordinary parliament session.
