The first liver transplant has been performed at the Clinical Center of Serbia (KCS), the Health Ministry reports. Four kidney transplants have also been performed in the last week. First liver transplant at KCS All five transplants were performed using the organs of deceased individuals, as part of the organ transplant program. The Ministry of Health thanked the families of the deceased who had understood that the organ transplants had saved the lives of other seriously ill people. The first successful liver transplant was carried out by a team of surgeons led by Dr. Miroslav Milicevic, while teams led by Drs. Drago Milicevic and Radmila Blagojevic performed the kidney transplants.
