Over half of Serbian citizens are showing a great interest in the events surrounding Radovan Karadzic’s arrest. According to a poll conducted by Strategic Marketing for the use of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, 70 percent of citizens support cooperation with the Tribunal. Serbia divided over extradition However, 54 percent do not support extraditions to the court, while 42 percent do. 43 percent believe that Karadzic and Ratko Mladic must be extradited to The Hague. Karadzic is neither seen as a hero nor a criminal by 42 percent of citizens polled. However, one-third consider him a hero, while 17 percent consider him a criminal. A large majority of citizens, 86 percent, believe that the Hague Tribunal is subjective and working against Serbia, while 82 percent see it as a political court.
